Recently, in the construction site of Phase III of Liuxi Water Plant Project in Liunan District of Liuzhou City, located to the north of Tanzhongxi Road and beside the bank of the Liujiang River, a bustling scene of construction could been seen. The 14 individual buildings under construction, such as the superimposed pool, the V-type filter and the sludge thickener, have begun to take shape.

It is understood that Phase III of Liuxi Water Plant Project -- the water purification plant project was funded and constructed by Liuzhou Water Investment Group Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of about 48,638 square meters. Based on a daily water consumption standard of 170 liters per person, the project will meet the daily water needs of 1.1 million people. After expansion, the water supply capacity of Liuxi Water Plant will increase from 300,000 tons per day to 500,000 tons per day, accounting for 70% of urban water supply. At present, the bottom part of the sludge thickener has been completed, and the construction on its walls is underway. Most of lower foundation work of other individual buildings has been completed, and the construction of their upper structures has started. The project is progressing steadily now and is expected to be completed and delivered for use by the end of this year.
